Wellness Workshops & Classes


We often leave a healthcare provider’s office with suggestions of what we need to do or need to change to feel better. However, doing things differently is often easier said than done. This is where we come in.

The workshops and series classes at Healthwise integrate mind-body education with practice so that you can “learn by doing.” Not only do we provide you with the necessary knowledge and skills, but our studio space allows for active learning (practice). Our studio offers an opportunity for you to learn mind-body skills that can help you to better manage difficult emotions, ward off stress, calm your anxiety, tame your inner narrator and boost your mood.

As evidence-based practice is at the core of our services, our focus is on skill building that works. Our workshops will teach you what to do and how to do to it. You are supported and guided as you create the change you need.

Chakras & Crystals

Join Wendy Lotter, Master Meditation Instructor and Certified Crystal Healer, as she connects the dots between chakras and crystals. Focuses on the body’s seven key chakras and how the use of crystals can work to help clear and balance them. Learn what each chakra and crystal combination impacts physically, mentally, and spiritually. Recommend basic understanding of chakras, considering attending “Introduction to Chakras” in January if you are a newbie! Every attendee will receive a chakra stone kit!

Got Stress? Want Less? Learn the basics of this stress relieving practice and how to easily bring it into your daily life. Instruction, guided meditations with discussion to follow.

We’ll also cover common questions such as:

  • When will I begin to notice benefits from meditating?
  • I can’t sit still. Is meditation for me?
  • I’ve tried meditating but I fall asleep. What does this mean?
  • What if my body twitches or makes sounds while meditating?

YOU: A Mind-Body-Spirit Approach to Feeling Better

More and more, people are intuiting the importance of themind-body-spirit connection for well-being and vital living. However, for manyof us, although we sort of know what the mind-body-spirit connection is, we are also sort of confused by it. We also may not be so sure how to directly apply it to our daily lives, our relationships, and our emotional health. Until this workshop!

Join us for this 4-hour workshop to learn what is behind this hubbub of the mind-body connection and learn concrete in-the-moment interventions that can be applied to daily stressors and challenges. This workshop will address how to use this connection to alleviate depression, anxiety, irritability, and stress and will explore the many ways it can support health, deepen relationships, and improve daily living experiences.

Wear comfortable clothing and bring a journal as this workshop is a combination of lecture, breathing exercises, gentle yoga poses, guided visualizations, and brief written exercises. Participants will NOT be asked to share personal information, we promise!
