Humanistic Psychology

Humanistic therapy, also known as humanism, is a type of “talk therapy” that focuses on the naturally good, positive traits and behaviors of a client. This approach is used as a starting point for healing, growth, and finding fulfillment from the inside. It does not explore past experiences that may have led to or contributed to current-day concerns.

This type of therapy is often used to treat people who experience depression, anxiety disorders such as panic attacks, relationship concerns, addiction, and more serious mental health concerns such as personality disorder and schizophrenia.
